- Concealed Carry & Home Defense. The USCCA's cornerstone course on defensive mindset, situational awareness, and the aftermath of a self-defense incident — Rob is USCCA-certified to teach it.
- Countering the Mass Shooter Threat. Rob holds the USCCA certification for this course — awareness, avoidance, and response training that's especially relevant for churches, schools, and workplaces.
- Legal considerations. Understanding New Jersey's firearms laws — transport, possession, carry restrictions, and how to stay on the right side of some of the nation's strictest statutes.
- Situational & scenario training. Classroom-based decision-making training: avoidance, de-escalation, and when the law says you may — and may not — act.

Complete the classroom session
NJ carry law, use-of-force, safe handling, and the responsibilities of carrying in public — taught clearly, with time for your questions.
Qualify on the range
Shoot the required course of fire under instructor supervision. Rob coaches you through it — most students leave shooting better than they arrived.
Submit your application
Leave with your qualification documentation and a clear understanding of the NJ permit-to-carry application steps through your local police department.

Common questions
What's required to get a NJ concealed carry permit?
New Jersey requires permit-to-carry applicants to demonstrate handgun qualification, which means completing the required training with a certified instructor — classroom instruction plus a live-fire range qualification. Rob teaches both components. You'll also complete an application through your local police department, including references and fees.
Do I need to own a gun to take a safety course?
No. Introductory safety courses welcome people who don't yet own a firearm — including those still deciding whether ownership is right for them.
